Per request, I have made a guide on how to apply hacks that you find on this site. Let's begin...
Software:
You'll need a file browser of some kind. I recommend iFunBox for non-jailbroken users, and iFile for jailbroken users. Depending on whether or not the hack has multiple files, the hacker may compile it into a .zip or .rar. So you may need a .zip opener if your computer doesn't have one already. iFile has a .zip opener installed for you.
Jailbroken-only hacks require more tweak from Cydia, such as Mobile Substrate. Install that if you haven't already, it's an essencial tweak all around.
With all hacks, if you plan on installing it via your iDevice (jailbroken-only) use the Safari app (Chrome will not let you download) and use iFile to open the file. If you plan on installing the hack via your computer, use iFunBox or similar software.
Installation:
Look to the file destinations! They will tell you what you need to do.
Applications/AppName/Documents OR /Applications/AppName/Library/Preferences These are the easiest to install. Find the file in iFile or your computer (whichever option you chose) and paste it into the destination. With iFunBox, you'll need to plug in your device via USB, navigate to the destination, click "Copy From Computer", choose the file, and click "Open". With iFile, follow the pictures (assume Activator is the hack files):
Then navigate to the destination, repeat the pictures, except this time select "Paste" rather than "Copy".
Applications/AppName/appname.app This is for Jailbroken users only. Do the exact same thing as you did above, except this time there's one extra step. After you paste the file, tap it's corresponding blue arrow button toward the right. Scroll down the popup menu until you see "Access Permissions". Set them to look like this: Code: User: Read, Write, Execute Group: Read, Write, Execute World: Read, Write, Execute
Lastly, respring or reboot your iDevice. Some people find it easier to use Mobile Terminal to set the permissions rather than using iFile. If you'd rather use Mobile Terminal, type this: Code: LOC=$(find /var/mobile/Applications/ -name "appname.app")/ cd "$LOC" chmod +x "Name of Hacked File (case sensitive)" ldone "Name of Hacked File (case sensitive)" -s killall -9 SpringBoard
Library/MobileSubstrate/DynamicLibraries For this, you'll need Mobile Substrate from Cydia. There are usually 2 files for this type of hack, which are usually wrapped up in a .zip. To open up a .zip with iFile, follow the pictures:
Then, copy/paste the files like above. Remember, it's not Applications/AppName/Library/MobileSubstrate/DynamicLibraries, it's simply Library/MobileSubstrate/DynamicLibraries.
